Come and stay in a cozy Småland home!

Villa Vimmerby is being completely renovated and we will post new pictures and information as soon as it is ready. We are located just around the corner from the Main Square and all that Vimmerby Centre has to offer. And a short walk to Astrid Lindgren's World and Astrid Lindgren's childhood home, Näs.
You can stay in rooms in the family villa or in separate apartments. All our accommodation offers its own bathroom and if you stay in one of our apartments you have all the comforts that belong to a home. We are especially proud to be able to offer really spacious and comfortable beds in all rooms. In the spirit of Astrid Lindgren, we want our guests to have fun together and there are books, games, costumes and toys in all rooms. In our cozy, lush courtyard, there are three old houses, each with its unique character and very own story to tell. Read more about our different accommodations below.

Please note that the houses are old and not built in today's standard dimensions. In addition, it is important to note that Gårdshus nedre has a ceiling height of 2 m. If someone in the party is tall, we recommend our other accommodations.

Extra beds and baby cots are available in most cases. Get in touch with us and we will solve it!

Here you live in a beautiful brick house, the old printing house, from 1910.
Dating back to Astrid Lindgren's first job at Vimmerby newspaper when the printing house was still active. We take pride in trying to preserve the original style and details of the accommodation with old brick walls and large beamed ceilings. On the lower level there is an open floor plan with a large kitchen and a smaller bathroom with a shower and WC. There is also a sofa bed for 2.

A staircase leads up to the bedroom where there is a large comfortable double bed and a site-built bunk bed in the same room. There is also a small toilet. Note that there is a rather steep staircase up to the bedroom level (however there are stair gates!)
This accommodation comfortably sleeps up to 6 people.
